Laughter clubs are community-based volunteer-led groups that practise laughter yoga, laughing because it is good for us—mind, body and soul.
Laughter yoga was founded by Indian physician Dr Madan Kataria in 1995. What started with 5 people laughing together in a park in Mumbai is now a global movement practised by millions weekly in more than 110 countries.
Australians have been practising laughter yoga since 2002.
